Rockies Rock Adventure Camp!
“Rockies Rock has exceeded my expectations for my child. She continues to bring home the new knowledge she learns. For instance, she casually brought up stream health and how the presence of micro-invertebrates can help determine if the stream is healthy. She is 7 years old!” - Rockies Rock parent

At Get Outdoors Leadville! we believe summer camp is about more than just having fun together outside. It’s also about developing a life-long love of nature, challenging yourself to try new activities and grow your skills, developing and strengthening friendships, living a healthy active lifestyle, and learning about yourself and your passions along the way. And, yes, we do have a lot of fun outside together in the process, too! At Rockies Rock Adventure Camp we do all this and more!
The teamwork, outdoor confidence and technical skills we help develop are truly life skills for our region and beyond. We teach kids to mountain bike, to fish, to swim, to climb, to hike and backpack and responsibly recreate in myriad ways, and ultimately, to challenge themselves and expand their passions and self-reliance. We explore and celebrate the “7 Habits of a Learner” that guide our local schools: Perserverance, Compassion, Craftsmanship, Respect, Responsibility, Curiosity, Collaboration. In each session we introduce special topic programming on local history, environmental education, navigation, wilderness safety, and sustainable high-altitude agriculture, among others.
Rockies Rock operates on a sliding tuition scale, and tuition reductions and monthly payment plans are available. Cost ranges from $0 - $670 per session. Tuition is for a two-week (8 day) session, and includes daily snack and lunch, bus transportation to, from and during camp, all special equipment, participant accident insurance, a camp t-shirt, and options for borrowing clothing and equipment.
