GOL! Community Gear Library

  • About the Community Gear Library

The Community Gear Library (CGL) is a dream realized in Lake County. It has been in operation since 2017 and moved to its permanent location on the Colorado Mountain College-Timberline campus in April 2021.

Currently, we can outfit up to 50 persons at a time. From youth base layers to adult snow bikes, we ensure our gear is high-quality so that you can have a comfortable and safe experience outside.

The CGL is not a rental shop, but rather a membership-based resource for Lake County residents who have or are experiencing barriers to accessing outdoor experiences.

We prioritize the historically excluded groups in our community and are committed to being a driver of equity in the world of outdoor recreation. To that end, the CGL aims to provide a safe entry point to the outdoors for youth and families in Lake County.

If you are visiting Lake County or if you are not experiencing any financial or cultural barriers to accessing outdoor experiences, please consider supporting one of our great local rental shops.
